I am not sure what I think if it just yet, but I am pretty sure I will love the album once it is in my hands. I usually do.

Disc Golf: Yep, it's real.

You know when people say hey have frolfed before? Guess, what- It's real. Although it's not technically called Frolfing, because that is implying that Frisbee and Golf can be morphed together, when Frisbee is a trade mark name- that's why, it's more known for the name Disc Golf.

I started playing this game around 3 or 4 months ago, and it has blossomed into a fun outing. The rules are simple- Do you know how to play golf? BAM, you can play disc golf. You have a Driver, a Mid-range, and a putter, and you start with a drive- you can run or stand still. Each hole has pars, and sometimes, depending on the distance, you have multiple drives. You want to get the disc to the hole/basket in as few throws as possible, much like golf. a traditional basket looks like this.

You can make a make-shift course but designating trees to hit- or just go to the nearest disc golf course. here is a link to the PDGA website (Pro Disc Golf Association) yep there really is one- to find a disc course near you. if you want to give it a shot that is.

The Wilderness Downtown

I happen to be a fan of Arcade Fire, they have a very unique sound- so it should come as no surprise that they would come up with something like this. Along with Chris Milk- a film director- they have made a mini film, that pulls from your past and makes you think about the days on the street where you grew up. using HTML5, a new updated and flashy version of HTML, it combines film sequences, images from Google maps and streetview to create a movie that is targeted right at you. You have to punch in the address of the house you grew up in- and then bam- In combination with the song, great film sequences, and shots of your street, it sends you on a little sentimental journey. There is a kid in a hoodie running on the street, and it is definitely implied that it is you. Or someone else that means something to you. I think it's great, and interesting, and definitely worth a try. Go ahead.

currently, the only browsers supporting HTML5 and therefore if you don't have it- you have to download it, are apple's safari, and google's Chrome. if you don't have chrome, get it, it's a great, clean and fast browser with some cool feature. Who doesn't love all the Google products?

A Great Band: Jimmy Eat World

Much to say about my excitement of Jimmy Eat Worlds new Album dropping at the end of this month- With the preview of the single "My Best Theory" and "Stop", the Album is going to be great. It is Produced again by Mark Trombino, who was with them with "Bleed American"- or after 9/11 it was re-released as the self titled Album. This Band is from Mesa, AZ, and they all currently live here as well... be sure to grab this album on Sept. 28th! I know I will.


They also have 2 Arizona Shows- Tucson on Sept 27th (CD Release show) and the other in Tempe on Oct. 30th- I'm going to both- expect pictures from both as well.

Preparing for Baby

Most parents when preparing for a new child, are baby proofing things. Stocking up on diapers. Getting the baby room ready. Me- I'm shopping for the perfect baby clothes.

Still a nerd- HALO: Reach to come out

If anyone truly knows me, they know I love Star Wars. And they also know I love the Halo series of games on Xbox. in just 5- make that 4 days, on September 14th, Halo: Reach will hit shelves and make people from pre-teen to middle-aged men disappear from the streets. This is a landmark in the Halo world, since the release of Halo ODST fans have been looking for MORE. And now we are about to get it. I apologize to my wife in advance.

This is where it all begins!

When did this happen? When did I go to sleep after playing my xbox all night long, snacking on Pringles and Mountain Dew- only to wake up married, with a house, 2 dogs, and a child on the way? How did I get to here? Who gave me the keys to this monster truck called life, and said "take'er for a spin!"? Not much is known, but I do know it has been a real adventure, full of twists and turns, some for the good, some for the not so good. I have learned a lot, and am still learning more, everyday. My hope for this blog, is to inform, entertain, and catalog my life, with my wife and family. A few pictures here and there, and hopefully some words of, well... just words.
